Shadowrun: Boston-DC Sprawl
Forced from the corporate life, Whisper finds even the magically adept have to rough it on the streets.
A human male in his late twenties, Whisper worked for years as a corporate mage and was a rising star in Mitsuhama before he was forced into the shadows. He doesn’t speak about the life he had before or about what he’d like to do about it, other than his search for those responsible for his fall from grace.
He maintains a modest 2 bedroom apartment in a co-op tenement building. Whisper does what he can to avoid notice by BBC (Building Beautification Committee). The notes from the committee in the past month have gone from the initial “welcome to the building…hope you’re settling in…if you could be so kind would you please…” to the now more familiar “Notice of failure to…” nailed to his front door. Or rather next to it as the residents have found the door seems to object to being pierced in any manner. So far Whisper has managed to avoid attending the bi-weekly BBC meeting, though he lives in particular dread of Mrs. Krenchaw. The one time they did meet it ended with a boney finger being sternly wagged under Whisper’s nose. (Currently Mrs. Krenchaw is most disturbed by the recent mysterious “destruction” of her kitchen and dining room.)
The back bedroom is windowless and used exclusively for the practice of his craft. Whisper has invested in many digital books for his library, given the possible necessity of relocating quickly, however he is unable to part with having tangible books entirely, and many old volumes can be found open on several reading stands around the room.
