Shadowrun: Boston-DC Sprawl
Ford is the trollish personification of the 40’s Americar slogan “built tough”. “They don’t make em like that anymore” holds just as well for the gigantic ex-runner turned Fixer as it does for the two-ton arcwelded steel frames of yesteryear. Local legend has it, that Ford earned his moniker when an out of control vehicle jumped the curb leaving the 8’4” troll only time lower his shoulder and brace for impact. The pride of American manufacturing crumpled, and the Troll kept the name as a prize.
Ford worked long enough as a runner to learn that you don’t make it doing the dirty work. Moving from taking contracts to dolling them out, he quite literally muscled out his competition and carved a niche for himself from their client lists. While not a force to be regarded by any major player, he’s more hassle than his business is worth. It also helps that he keeps the local gangs focused on one another and dependent upon his services.
Having worked the shadows, he’s been known to treat runners more fairly than other fixers. However, respect is something which is always in short supply in his world, and for a troll who’s achieved what he has, respect is demanded in every transaction.
